INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to your New Life!

As a new child of God you are entering into the most exciting journey of your life.
In fact it doesn't end when you finish living on this earth, it just gets better.

When you made Jesus Christ your Savior you set all your life towards all the good that God has planned for you in and through His Son, Jesus Christ.
So start expecting that great things are going to happen to you.
After all you have just made the greatest decision of your whole life.

My prayer is that as you study this booklet you will learn how to walk with God every step of you life and throughout all eternity.

(i) MY DECISION: What Have I Done?

  1. Congratulations on making the greatest decision of your whole life.
However, by the time you wake up tomorrow you may be asking yourself questions like:
    "What have I done?"
    "Is this real?"
    "Am I different and Why?"

Many "new" born again believers ask themselves exactly the same questions following that great decision for Jesus Christ. The fact of the matter is that according to God's Word, the Bible, the moment you make that choice there is an exchange that takes place for you and your future.
Your Destiny is changed for the whole of eternity.

  2. In 2 Corinthians 5: 17 we read "If any man is in Christ He is a new creation!"
That means that according to the Bible, which is God's revealed word the moment you made Jesus Christ your Savior and Lord of your life you were made into a "New person."
The original Greek in which the New Testament was written, uses a word to describe this "new creation"; it means literally a new species that never existed before.
That is what you have become.
You see when God sent Jesus to the earth to die for your sins 2,000 years ago.
He decreed that every man and woman who came to Christ, just as you have, was made into a new creation that had never existed before Christ died.
This species consists of all the born-again believers, like you, who have repented since the day of Christ died for our sins on the cross.

(ii) The Two Rocks of Faith:

  1. In Romans 10:9 the bible teaches us how we can know that we are saved.
It says, "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
These two steps or acts, will change your life because of salvation.
They are two rocks of faith that you need to know and believe:

    (i)

You need to "confess with your mouth."

You should have done this when you prayed the prayer of Salvation.  (If you have not prayed this prayer you can do that right now!  Just say, "Jesus I know you died for my sins.  I ask you into my heart right now to live with me forever.  Please forgive my sins.  I now accept the gift of your death on the cross and the salvation it brings.  Help me to live for you every day.  I want to have a relationship with you the rest of my life.  In Jesus name I pray. Amen.)

    (ii)

You need to believe that God raised Jesus from the dead.

You should believe this because 1 Corinthians 15:17 says: "If Christ is not raised from the dead, then your faith is worthless."

You see, your salvation is dependant upon the fact that Jesus is alive.
Every other religion in the world today follows a dead leader.
Christianity believes that Jesus is alive.
Christian's believe that Jesus was raised from the grave on the third day by the power of God.

(iii) The Great Transfer:

  1. According to Colossians 1:13 the moment you said "Yes", to Jesus you were transferred from the Kingdom of this world into the Kingdom of God.
A "one-way" ticket was issued in your name and instantly you were enrolled in the Kingdom of God.
Your name was written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 20:15) for all Eternity.
Only "born-again" believers have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
If it is not, then you are not saved.

  2. At the same moment your allegiance changed from serving the god of this world (satan) to being called a Child of the living God.
In other words, God now declares that you are, (through the sacrifice of Jesus,)"born-again" and therefore included in the Kingdom of God.

Conclusion — The Two Kingdoms:

  1. For you to understand this fully you need to know that there are two kingdoms in the world you live in.
One is the kingdom of God's archenemy, Satan and the other is that of God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
In John 3:3 Jesus made a statement to Nicodemus "You must be born again" because if you are not born again by the will and plan of God you cannot see the Kingdom much less live in it (verse 5).
As a new child of God you made a conscious decision which was a free will choice, to make Jesus the Lord of your life.
You would have prayed a prayer asking Jesus to forgive your sin. When you did, you were brought into God's Kingdom.

  2. The Kingdom Transfer is a ONE-WAY Ticket
God is not in the business of issuing "Two-way Tickets".
Did you know that God loves you so much that He went to the very limits of need for you to be saved?
Because God is so in love with you He sent His Son, Jesus to die for you. In John 3:16 we read: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever (that means you) believes in Him shall not perish, but shall have eternal life."
    You are an Heir.
You chose to make Jesus your Saviour and so God responds to your decision by taking you forever out of satan's kingdom and putting you in his Kingdom.
God declares in His Word that you are now one of His sons or daughters (2 Corinthians 6:18) and the bible says that you are an heir and a joint heir with Jesus Christ.
This means that everything that God has given to Jesus He has also given to you. (Philippians 4:19)
God tells us that we are to now start seeking His Kingdom - in Matthew 6:33 "Seek Ye first the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things, and all these things will be added unto you" - and He in turn promised to take care of you (see the preceding verses).
This is God's promise to you, in return for believing in His Son, Jesus.
Take the time right now to make sure that you are aware of what you have done.
Be sure in your heart that you know the step that you have taken.
Pray, out loud right now, the prayer listed below.

    "Heavenly Father,
I have chosen to make your son Jesus the Lord of my life.
I have chosen Him as my Savior and I believe that I will spend eternity with Him and You in Heaven.
I will try to never doubt this choice that I have made,
    in Jesus' name.
    Amen.
    "
