How can the church help my new life?

GOING TO CHURCH, WALKING THE WALK:

Every child of the living God should be attached to a good church. Hebrews 10:25
There are a great many different types of churches that exist today.
Some are very conservative and others are extremely open and different.
You should find one that is comfortable for you to worship in.
You should attach yourself to it and submit to its leadership, provided that it is bible based and God honoring.- 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and 2 Timothy 2:2

Find a church that encourages you to go ahead with God and be what God wants you to be.
There are over 7,000 good promises in the Word of God for you to live by.
Do not accept negative teaching.- 1 Timothy 1:4
God accepted you just as you were and it is He who will teach you the way to live and honor Him. He will do this by the Holy Spirit.- John 16:13
There are good friends to be made in church and you will have the opportunity to become a part of something very special, as the people of God get together to worship and praise God. Acts 2:44, 46-47, Romans 15:7.
The church will help your Christian walk in a number of ways:
You will find people who think and believe the same as you do.
You will find that they will encourage you and want you to be a part of their lives.
You will find great satisfaction in worshipping with them.
You will find men and women who honor God and who want you to grow in knowledge and wisdom in the things of God.
You will discover a whole range of social activities with people of like mind.
You will discover the excitement of serving God in many ways in the church.

So get involved. You need a church home and the church needs you. - Colossians 3:16
Make sure you go to church regularly, - Acts 2:42
- at least every Sunday and try to be involved in a bible study as well through the week. - Acts 20:7

CONCLUSION:

  1. New Christians who have problems will usually find that they come from two areas. Failure to stay locked into the word of God. Not meeting together with other Christians and so building up one another.

  2. As a new Christian you should seek out other Christians.   Attending a church near you, will help you grow in Christ.  Also attending a life group and following the 3 C's of Connect, Celebrate, and Contribute will help your daily life in Christ.

  3. Whatever your situation and circumstances you need to try to find others of like mind. This will help you to grow and become a mature Christian in a very uncertain world.

Pray this to ask God for direction:
"Heavenly Father,
I ask you to guide me and show me where you would have me worship you, with other believers.
Amen."
