STANDING IN FAITH?

Hebrews 11:1 tells us the following: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
This simply means that if we are to have faith then we have to believe, even though we cannot see what we are believing for.
The process for doing this is simply to take the Word of God, the bible and find in it the promise we need that relates to our circumstances.
Then stand and act as if you already have received it. See Mark 11:23-24. "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea.' and does not doubt in his heart but believes whatever he says is going to happen, he shall have whatever he says." This is called standing by faith.

You have already done this at least once before when you made Jesus your Lord and Savior.
You could not see His salvation nor have you seen Him on the cross.
But you were told that the bible says you could be forgiven of all your sin if you would just believe.
This thing you did and you were immediately saved.
So it is with biblical faith - it is exactly the same process.
If you read the whole of Hebrews 11, which is called the "great faith chapter of the bible", you will discover a list of many people who believed God and acted in faith and through that became great overcomers in every area of life.
Because you are now a born again child of God through faith in Jesus Christ, you too can walk in the same level of faith.
But remember, you must base your faith stand on the Word of God.
So you need to find the appropriate scripture passage that applies to your situation and use that as you stand believing.
In Hebrews 11:6 the bible says "Without faith it is impossible to please God."

Now I know you want to please your heavenly Savior, so just start with the everyday things you need for your blessing and thank God for them and watch them come to fulfillment in your life.
So start walking in faith before the Lord.
Read the Word of God every day and spend time in prayer.
I promise you that as you are led by the Holy Spirit who dwells within you, your faith will grow in Jesus Christ.

CONCLUSION:

  1. This stand of Faith works for every area of your life. It took faith to be saved, didn't it?

  2. Once you are and saved and born again you can believe God for every need that you have. God promises that He will give you the things that are good for you. See Matthew 7:7-11. The faith it took to believe on the name of Jesus is the same faith that will get you well when you are sick, meet your needs when you lack and cause you to be an over-comer.

  3. In Hebrews 11:6 we are told that it takes faith to please God. You see God will respond to your stand of faith. He will give you the desires of your heart- Psalm 21:2 and Romans 15:13.

A prayer for faith energizing ability:
    "Heavenly Father,
In the name of your son Jesus, Your Word tells me that in order to please you I need to have faith. (Hebrews 11:6) It was faith that brought me to you and now I ask you Father to increase my faith.
I receive it right now because your word promises it to me as your child.
    Thank you, Father.
    Amen."
