Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Life Group? It’s a group of 3-14 people who meet regularly for fellowship and to study the Bible together.
What Happens in a “typical Life Group meeting? Each Life Group has it’s own personality but there are common elements that happen in most groups. There is casual fellowship time, learning together and prayer time. Prayer is a key element and many people find prayer time to be their favorite part of group life.
What does the learning time consist of? We offer a variety of curriculum that ranges from topical studies to books of the Bible. Some groups use a weekly discussion guide that digs deeper into the weekend message.
How does this differ from other Bible Studies I have been part of? A Life Group is more than just studying the Bible. When you join a Life Group you commit not only to what you are learning but to care for and meet the needs of other group members. Group members often become our closest friends and it’s who we turn to in our times of need.
How long does a Life Group Last? Each Life Group session lasts between
9 -11 weeks for approximately 90 minutes a meeting.
What is the cost? Some groups will use optional study guides that you may want to purchase. Check with the leader for specific details on their group.
Is child care available? Childcare is left up to each individual group. Call the group leader for specific details for their group.
What if I don’t like my group? Give it a chance for one session. Keep in mind it may take trying a few groups to find that perfect fit.
