In 1998 a group of 17 people met for the first time to hear Pastor Larry Baucom share his vision for a church that would make a difference for Christ. Later that month Suncoast Community Church was born. Suncoast is best described by what we call the 3 C s.

We are Casual in Dress, Contemporary in our worship style and most importantly we are Christ Centered in our beliefs.

Over the years we have grown from 47 people at our first service to a church of 1,200 each week. With 2 campuses located in Sarasota and North Port it is still our mission to “Make a Difference for Christ”

We are looking forward to what God has planned for our future. Soon we will break ground at the corner of Clark and Hawkins rd. While we eagerly anticipate having a building to call home we realize that Suncoast Community Church is not about a building with bricks and mortar. It’s about people with hearts for God.

We are a grace based church among the churches in Sarasota, FL. We also have a casual, contemporary; Christ centered campus in North Port, Florida.
We are a member of the Willow Creek Association.
