SUNCOAST KIDS VOLUNTEER

We are glad you are interested in volunteering at Suncoast Kids!
Suncoast Kids at Suncoast Community Church is where kids learn about Jesus! It’s an exciting place to be every weekend. Hundreds of kids are eager to hear Bible stories, sing worship music, memorize important Bible verses and so much more! We look forward to you becoming a part of this important ministry of Suncoast.

What do Volunteer opportunities in Suncoast Kids include?

  • Holding babies and playing with toddlers in the Nursery.
  • Helping little hands and minds discover Jesus’ love with 2 year olds & Preschoolers.
  • Connecting and building relationships with Elementary kids.
  • Welcoming families as they arrive for the day at Children’s Check In.
  • Playing with and taking care of kids while they attend The Beach.

When would I volunteer?

You may volunteer one service a month or as often as every week. Suncoast Kids is happening during all weekend worship services. We have a Saturday Night 6:00 service, & Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30. We recommend that you volunteer during one service, and attend another service. We don’t want you to miss out on your own worship time!

“The Beach” is available for the children of volunteers who attend more than one service on the weekend.  Kids need to attend at least one church class. They may attend “The Beach” during the other service.

Will I be teaching?  How much prep time will it take for me to volunteer?

We have great video driven curriculum in every class and a staff director to lead the class.  For Nursery and Preschool there is no prep time. In Elementary you will receive 2-3 pages of information including the memory verse, Bible story reference, questions to ask the kids (with the answers), activities that may take place in class, etc. Read over this info and pray that the Lord would use you as you connect with the kids.  All supplies and materials are provided.
