Rather than start many outreaches,
we take a different approach.

We select local and global non-profit organizations that are already making a difference in the lives of others. We then use our resources to help further their growth and impact. We encourage everyone at Suncoast to regularly serve with one of our Partners. There are no long term commitments, and you don’t need special skills to make a difference.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast has a mission to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Suncoast raises awareness of the organization, provides volunteers to mentor children, encourages families and BBBS to attend free events and Suncoast outreach opportunities.

Mothers Helping Mothers

Mothers Helping Mothers
Mothers Helping Mothers is an all volunteer based not-for-profit organization offering basic necessities free of charge to local families in need. Through their storefront location, over 3500 families, representing 8750 children, receive clothing and baby items in a single year. Suncoast’s partnership provides a drop off location for donations as well as volunteers for workdays.

Empowerment Gulfcoast

Empowerment Gulfcoast believes that hopelessness is a root cause of self-destructive behavior in young adults, and reaches out to those in the 18-35 age range, who are employed but struggling and lack resources. Empowerment's personalized assistance includes mentoring, budgeting, financial assistance, and or professional mental health counseling. All requests are carefully vetted.

Blaze of hope

Can you imagine your child being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness? How would you care for them AND keep your job? How would you cover the mortgage AND the medical bills? For many families, they're facing these impossible choices. Blase of Hope understands and comes alongside those in their moment of need. Blaze of Hope's mission is to provide financial assistance to families of children with a life-threatening medical condition while hospitalized, to enrich lives with hope, to build community and raise awareness.

Lifehouse Counseling

Lifehouse offers professional counseling that focuses on physical, mental and spiritual health in the areas of addiction, depression, anxiety, divorce, abuse, self-harm, ADD/ADHD and life coaching. All this is provided from a Christian perspective. Suncoast Community Church provides office space on our campus for Lora Aviles, a licensed clinical social worker. Lora has 12 years and thousands of hours of experience to provide help for individuals, couples and families. This partnership creates the opportunity for an affordable christian counselor in our church and community.

Safe Children Coalition

The Sarasota Family YMCA serves as the Lead Agency for Community Based Care in three counties on the West Coast of Florida – Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto. Under the leadership of the Sarasota Family YMCA, the Safe Children Coalition (SCC) is a collaboration between the YMCA and many local community entities who together provide a continuum of child welfare services for dependent children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Child protection services provided include case management, foster care, independent living and adoptions. Foster a Child/Foster Hope. Suncoast periodically does drives for needed items as well as raises awareness for the need for more Foster homes in our area.
