Dr. Larry Baucom begins a new series called “Christmas Fog”, where we are challenged to find the light and see clearly during this busy, often stressful holiday season.
Luke 2:25-32
Point 1: Waiting is not wasting.
Are you a patient person, or do you like to get things accomplished and done as fast as possible? Sometimes the process of waiting has treasures in store – don’t forget to live and actually experience the precious and mundane moments in life, don’t rush through them to get to the next. Waiting is part of life, we all have to do it, but we can learn to live in the moment and discover something we might have missed.
Point 2: While we wait, we can learn to trust.
Waiting and being still is not very popular in this modern age, but when we learn to be patient, God renews our strength.
Point 3: God is not in a hurry.
When we do what is right, God uses it to benefit others – slow down, be still, look for a way out of the fog.
